In this blog, will show you how to create a Gantt Chart using Excel. Excel doesn’t actually have a default Gantt Chart; therefore, we will modify a bar chart to turn it into a Gantt Chart.

Step 1:

First, we need to enter project information such as Project name, Duration, Start date and Finish date. See the image below and enter your data exactly as shown in the image.

Step 2:

Enter the tasks and duration details as shown in the following image.

Step 3:

Start building the Gantt chart in the right side of the sheet as shown below with appropriate if and and formula into it.

Step 4:

The top row has the dates until it covers both start and finish dates and below rows should be formulated in order to display the timeline of the project with appropriate formula.
